Is there a considerable difference between the 'below Milano' leather on the A4 and the 'real Milano' upgrade on the A5?

Default The basic "below Milano" leather is rather hard

It looks to be the same grade as that used on leather seating surfaces of the B7 A4 and C6 A6. I can tell you that it's not as good as the leather on the BMW 3-series since I have had both. The BMW leather is softer and feels like leather. With my A4, it was hard to tell it from leatherette. Having said that, I don't think I would pay an extra $1000 for upgraded full leather which used to be an option for the 3.2 A4.

My A4 s-line has "full leather" which includes the door inlays. However in the latest brochure there's a £190 option for the door armrests to be leather.

I'd not noticed before that they're leatherette and different from the leather.
