I have my main display set on the digital speedo. The sub display is on trip computer #1's average fuel economy so I can slap myself when I drive too aggressively for the trip

It's great to have choice and it depends entirely on what I'm doing and what's displayed.

It's not uncommon for me to have Instant mpg and Avg mpg display as I've been showing my wife how driving style massively affects comsumption amd then other days the digital speedo is just what's called for.

There's certainly plenty of info there if you want it.
You can have both the average and instant mpg's visible at the same time? I did not know this (don't have a B8)! It makes so much sense to see how one's driving directly affects mileage.

Why this option is not avail on a Premium A4 but is an option on my Premium Q5 is lame.

Also the same goes for the dual climate control.

I have the display on the instantaneous and average mpg. I'm not too bothered by how tightly packed the analog speedo is to use the digital speedo. I do reset trip computer 2 every fillup to get the average mpg per tank. It's running about 1-2 mpg higher than my manual calc.

Its all about time driving for me.

Thankfully the P- retrofit fixed my time obsession!

It is possible to enable some of these pages on the premium packages via vcds tweaks. The only things you won't be able to get is the digital speedo page and the wiper stalk button to quickly switch between pages (you'll do that via the car setup menus). It's also possible to swap out the stalk - search around, both have been done & documented.

I find myself typically using the following:
1) when starting, the lap timer page so that I can see when the oil has warmed up
2) once the oil has warmed up and I can step on it, the digital speedo with avg2 mpg displayed in the bottom.
