Klima-Cleaner, what's the trick?

So my A/C stinks and it won't go away. I got some Klima-Cleaner in the mail yesterday. If you shine a flashlight in the dash vents you can see a perforated plastic shield about 6" back - there's no way the nozzle of the Klima-Cleaner is going to get past that.
Or should I get the car on blocks and spray it in the evaporator drain like it suggest "for professionals"?
EDIT: I found this: http://www.audiforum.ca/showthread.php?t=65849
Still curious if anyone here has first hand experience with it

Thank you.
I did apply to mine, but was able to get in from left side vents only. Hopefully the smell will be gone since we really need the A/C on now.
