Following is the link to the MPP "excess wear executive lease protection" plan my Audi dealer is offering. Anyone have ideas whether this is worthwhile or not?
www.mppcoverage.com
The cost is $649 (dealer will sell for $549 to hook me).
I called and talked to a MPP rep:
• plan can be sold only by a dealer not direct from MPP
• if you decide to buy the car at lease end you lose the money the coverage cost you
• the way it works is that when you get your end of lease inspection report if there are things you are being charged for by AFS, then you mail in that report and they reimburse you up to $5,000
The part that interests me most is wheel and tire. At the end of a lease you may be under the required 1/8 inch tread and will get hit by AFS for at least $180 per tire - if there are minor scratches on the wheel they will be at least $125 per wheel. So, maybe just on that basis the $540 may be worth it. Of course, it is a gamble that MPP will be in business in 36 months.
Thanks for any advice.

As for your concern if MPP will be around in the next three years, the bigger question is; will we all be around after 2012? Don't worry, be happy

Personally, for peace of mind at $549, and up to $5,000 in coverage (up from your original amount of $2,500 you quoted earlier in another thread), I'd go for it.

BTW - I looked at the Quartz A4 they had and it had a few scratches, so I am thinking about either Meteor Gray or Silver (maybe Deep Sea Blue). I should get an answer tomorrow on the availability of these and then will decide after I eyeball the specfiic car.
