Default Lease Purchase Option Fee

I have leased before, but never with Audi. The dealer told me there was a $350 purchase option fee at the end of the lease. He said AFS started requiring it a year ago. (By the way, this is different from the $350 disposition fee.)

I can't tell if the dealer is bs-ing me or not. Has anyone else leased recently, and did Audi Financial Services put that extra amount if you purchase the vehicle?

Yea its basically like a return fee. Kinda like a re-stocking fee. I just leased my '10 A4 April 3rd. I had a Subaru before the audi and their fee was $500, but audi paid it for me

Not uncommon. It often is waived if you buy out the car at the end of the lease or if you lease/buy another Audi.

Guys,

I appreciate the information but I should have been more clear. I know there is a $350 disposition fee that Audi charges if I return the car. What I am talking about is a $350 "purchase option fee." If I buy the car at the end of the lease, I will be charged the residual price + purchase option fee.

I was wondering if anyone else, who has a recent AFS lease, has that charge included if they buy the car at the end of the term. I had not seen it before.

Thanks.

I would imagine that them selling you the car is worth a whole lot more to them than that ridiculous $350 lease fee. I would tell them if they even want you to consider purchasing that they need to get rid of that preposterous fee first.
