While it’s unique, I really dislike this idea. IMO, one of the most appealing things, aesthetically that is, is the Audi logo on the front and back. I would not mess with it for the world.

Not for nothing, but if Audi had offered this on any of their models out of the factory (which I can totally see them doing on the R8), we would all be drooling over it. I would prefer to see it at night and in person before coming to a conclusion.

I call BS. There is a tendency to shun anything not OEM, and alternatively praise anything that is. If Audi started putting some sort of lit rings on our cars there is no doubt in my mind that people would not only accept it, they would gloat about how awesome it is. Perfect example is the DRL LEDs. Until Audi offered them OEM, all anyone ever said about anyone who put them in or on their car was that it was "ricer." Now this is one of the things most of us brag about, cosmetically. I'm not saying it would look good, but I'm also saying I'm sure it would look bad. What I am saying is that because it's after-market and not OEM, it's getting a lot of hate. I think that this could be done subtly and with plenty of class.
