Purchased a used A4 sedan. Memory seat buttons in door are all stuck in the down position. Anyway to loosen these so I can actually get the memory option to work?

The stickiness almost glues the moving parts of the switch.
Take the panel off and remove the switch assembly. Soak it a few minutes in a pint of isopropyl (99%) alcohol. This will dissolve the sugars and return the mechanical functions to the switches. It will also clean the contacts too.

I'd have to go out to my car and double-check, but I don't remember these buttons being mechanical buttons that have an up and down position. I thought they were all just momentary push buttons, with a light to shown which function was active. This could be an electronic issue rather than a mechanical issue. Or even a user issue since it's a new car that you may not be familiar with yet.
