I have a 09 2.0 TFSI with the cvt, I have been getting a combined (highway and city) range of 26-28 MPG regularly. I can get 400 miles per tank, typically I refill at the time the refill light comes on, and by this time I am usually at 380-400 miles of travel to that point. I routinely reset my trip counter at every fill up and calculate my driving MPG at every fill up.

I don’t drive cautiously; I drive about 70-85MPH regularly on the highway, and usually do hard acceleration from a light.

Pretty sure its been proven that going higher octane(not nec better gas) will NOT increase MPG. Watched a woman get WORSE mileage on a TV documentary using 93 when her car required reg.
