Yeah, it looks good...maybe the best looking wagon I've seen, but I've never been a fan of the wagon. I think it detracts from the lines of a car. Essentially, when they design a car, they don't generally design a wagon first. Meh, just me.

Default I missed cognito's post below. Autoblog has higher resolutions available...

at http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-audi-a4-avant/, though their viewer is kinda buggy sometimes. Right-click on the full images and select "view image" or similar to view the actual full version.

Default Here`s what I dislike about those pics

-- yeah they make the car look awesome. And I`d love one that looks like that. BUT -- the wheel gap is insanely small, and you will never get one that looks like that from the dealer. You`d have to do a lowering kit which of course changes the basic ride characteristics and some of us just dont want to go down that road (me). Even the S4 wont look like that. MAYBE the next RS4 will look that good... so its a case of bait and switch. Dont get me wrong, I really like the car BUT I want the TDI -- still not sure when thats coming, and I want the nice interior -- S-line seats with alcantara or whatever that material is in the above pic. When thats available, sign me up.

Default I disagree about it being the best looking wagon I've ever seen

Default Yeah... and what I like...

Autoblog doesn't feel the need to mark all the pics with their own logos. Funny how I see all these pics on Autoblog first, then the next day they show up on the rest of the sites.

Default WOW!!!

how do we make sure to get the sport interior? Is that an S-line interior? Or sport seats? Or what? AoA, please know that there are those of us who would want that very much, in both sedans and avants. Please please make it available, at least as a sold-order option. I love the contrasting stitching they have been doing. This would be even just a bit nicer with the black leather and a charcoal / carbon grey insert, plus still the perforated steering wheel. Maybe withthe "engine turned" aluminum trim look from the GTi R32?

Boy, if I was in charge of product management these things would be the billy-bad-butt wagons available. Those RS wheels have steamroller tires on them too. Man, this could get expensive!

Default The black interior is from the S-line model.

Audi has been doing the all black + silver deviated stitching + silver-backed perforated alcantara inserts thing for their S-line models for a bit now -- I believe the TT and the B8 sedan have that as their interior S-line treatment, too.

Off the top of my head, for the TT S-line (which is the only of the above-listed models we have so far), I think they dropped both the deviated stitching and seat/door inserts for NA. I imagine they'll probably do the same for the A4. Sucks, as I like the contrasting appointments, too.

And while we're on the topic of Audi teasing but not delivering here in NA, I'm curious as to whether or not they'll easily allow Audi exclusive options on the B8, such as the red stitching on the B8 at Detroit (which I love). Seeing how many hoops the R8 guys are having to go through to get their cars Audi exclusified... my guess is no, but I'd love to be wrong.

Default Nice contrast

Kind of reminds me of the VW Farenheight (sp?) editions. My wife loves the yellow Jetta with the yellow stitching and interior trim.

I would actually like a seat with leather sides and a good cloth center section for better breathing. I like the GTi standard plaid seats, but they don't come with heaters, so VoA forces you to get the all leather. When I have a day in the car for 7-8 hours straight, a little extra breathing on the back is a good thing. Properly designed and you don't need the ventilated seats they want to sell you.

These would be a great second choice. Too bad we probably won't get them. I have harped time and again here and on VWVortex to allow a wider variety of choice as sold-order options. If I am willing to order a car specifically for my self and wait for them to make it for me, why can't I have it the way I want it?
