Default My A4 at Thunderhill in Northern CA

Thought you guys might want to check out a lap with my A4. I really need a tune and a anti roll bar in the rear. Other wise the car does great!

Nice, glad that you tracked it! Did you find that the turbo lag was ok on power application after the apex, or did it hesitate? How did the brakes hold up? Was the traction control on or off?
You had some nice lines through some of the corners, looks like it was a blast.

Thanks. This wasn't the first time I've tracked my A4, but I finally got off my lazy a** and bought a good video recorder. The ESP is always off when I go to the track. I leave it off for 2 reasons. 1) The quattro in our cars is always very predictable and even when the ESP is off the car is extremely stable. 2) In AWD cars, if you leave the ESP on there are times the computer can't make a big enough correction and when things go wrong, they go REALLY wrong. I've never heard of anyone with an Audi having that issue, but chatted with lots of STI and EVO owners who've told me that. I've found that for a turbo charged car I rarely notice the lag when it's over 1,800 RPM. The only downer is that the car is a bit under powered on the track due to it's weight coming out of the turns. The brakes are decent, but they could be a little better. I've been thinking of the Stasis Alcon kit but it's pretty expensive.

Nice video! Looks like a lot of fun and the car holds on well.
Is it my computer speakers or can you not hear the engine?

It's not your computer. With the windows down, the 2.0T in stock form is extremely quiet, even as high RPM.

Great video. Were you required to tape your lights or did you do that yourself as a precautionary measure?

I so want to take my A4 to the track. Was this just a lapping day or was it part of any club or school?

I taped them. Most people do it to protect the glass from shattering or chipping from track debris. I'm a member of NASA (http://www.nasaproracing.com/) which is mostly just lapping. They can provide you with an instructor, and if you wish to advance you can do time trial your car.
