Default Odd navigation behavior

I moved to the Washington, DC area recently and have found that the nav in my 2010 A4 calls Washington "Washington-paw". If I am supposed to get on the highway towards DC it will say "turn left and take I-395 North to Washingtonpaw", without fail anytime she says Washington she adds the extra "paw" at the end.

Anyone else experienced this with DC or any other city? It just kind of makes me chuckle when i hear it...

lolololol- THAT....IS....HILARIOUS!!! Sorry. I'm done. I have nothing constructive for you. I don't have nav, so I don't know what you're options are, but is there anyway to reset the system or re-download the software?

It's probably mispronouncing Washington PA. Mine says "Cleveland, Oh" instead of "Ohio"

Except it definitely knows the destination is Washington, DC not PA - I could at least understand "proceed toward Washington D**K".

Just curious - it doesn't bother me, it's pretty funny actually...

I also live in the DC area - mine does the same damn annoying thing. I thought it was saying "Washginton, VA" (vaaaw...) as in Washington, Virginia; maybe it has the two confused? there IS a Washington, VA, but it's way west of DC. (a very, very small town)

That's my best guess, but it annoys the hell out of me that a FRIGGIN EXPENSIVE navigation system can be so much more misinformed than a $99 TomTom
