Question for B8 A4 owners
Hey guys,
Long time stalker but first time poster, but I have a question for B8 A4 owners.
So I recently rented a new A4 with less than 1000 miles on it, and while driving I notice that the rear suspension were EXTREMELY stiff. We're talking about sending back seat passengers and luggage airborne with a slight bump while going around 25 mph.
I got out of the car and looked into the rear tire well and this is what I see
There are these yellow plastic like bushing which looked totally foreign to me. My friend and I tried to compress these "things" by pressing down on the trunk but the thing is stiff like a rock. So basically the car drove like there were no rear suspensions, is this normal?

I could be wrong but it looks like some idiot forgot to remove the shipping blocks before delivery. 1000 miles? Unbelievable.
Where and what car rental company? You should contact them and try and get a refund for the rental. I would guess you didn't contract to rent a go kart.

Thanks a lot guys!
This was rented from Sixt in Sweden. We didn't feel it at first because the Swedish highways were so well paved and the rental location was right next to the freeway.
It wasn't until when we're 100 miles away on some country side road when we hit our first bump just to see the rear passenger go airborne.
I'm guessing the previous renters were all like me who were either unsure if the problem really exists or returned the car during after hours so we didn't really get any face time with an agent.
They'll definitely hear from me now...

I fell in love with Audi when I rented a red B7 S4 Cab. from Hertz in Los Angeles in '06. Hertz Prestige has many different "luxury" cars to rent. May be tough to find a location with Audi. I walked the lot and they gave me whatever I wanted and the S4 caught my eye.

Ahh - Europa! I'm definitely renting an Audi the next time I'm in Germany.
We have that here at my local airport, but the last time I rented there they had a Volvo - no Audis

Yeah.... I rent a lot of cars at various airports and that has been the only Audi I;ve been able to find. I'm sure there are others, but just a bit more elusive.
