Default My B6 is for sale now, and I may wait for the B8.....or give in to a 328 Coupe.

If I sell my B6 quickly, I may just break down and buy a 328i coupe. But if I don't sell my B6 until spring, then I will probably wait and buy the B8.

Default I disagree on 1 thing: bigger is not always better!

If people want a bigger car, buy an A6. The A4 keeps getting fatter and fatter every generation, and this is not a great thing. I used to autocross my B5 years ago, and it did great. I can't imagine the B8 (or B6/B7 for that matter) being nimble or handling like the old B5s due to their weight and size.

But, at the end of the day, I will probably buy a B8.

True. Pretty much EVERY car is better than it's predecessor.

If you like the coupe, then why not consider the A5?

Default Since I will be getting a (diesel) avant, and current lease ends 4/08, there's no waiting for me.

If I want a new car, it will be an '08 A4 (or lightly used CPO '07 or '08 S4) Avant or maybe 535Xi Wagon (but they're >$60k). Requirements: AWD, 6MT, Wagon.

If I knew the B8 (diesel) Avants were coming out in late 2008 or even early 2009, I'd probably extend the lease on my B7, but from what I hear, (please correct me if I'm wrong) it will be 2009-2010 before the B8 Avant Diesels arrive in the US.

(Or survive on the V8Q and pick up some convertible like Miata or S2K)......

To the comment on 2 vs 3 year leases, it's funny, in early 2006 when I got my B7, AFS was artificially making the 2 year lease payments lower than the 3 year payments, otherwise I probably woulda gone with a 3 year.

Default I still may depending on how the deals are...but I figure the A5 will be too much $.

I know I can get a 328 Coupe for about $36K, but I am sure the A5 will not be discounted, and will be around $41K.

No A3 turbo + quattro, so A3 is off my list (stupid Audi product planners)

Default You know why there's is no A3 turbo with Quattro in America, right?

Yes, AoA didn't want to cut into A4 sales which is exactly what would've happened if they imported it.

Of course, no one at AoA would admit that when I ask that same question.
