Default Rear Sway bar upgrade?

I have an '09 non-sport, non-ADS Prestige 3.2. Back when I purchased my 2001 A6 2.7t, also w/o sport pkg, I replaced the stock rear sway bar for the sport sway bar (thicker diameter) and the improved handling difference was dramatic without any noticeable change in ride - much flatter cornering with less understeer. Under $200 installed. (I was advised not to do the front bar at the time).

Is it possible to do the same sports pkg rear sway bar swap in the B8 with the similar result and still maintain the ride? Has anyone done this or considered it?

Yes, many folks have installed the Stasis ARB with very good results. They make a 23mm bar for the A4 and a 28mm bar for the A5/S5. I bought one through a recent group buy, although it is still sitting in a box waiting for install.

I don't recall seeing any reports of folks swapping in the bar from the standard sports package, but I would imagine that be an improvement as well.

I checked the Stasis site and they list the rear sway bar for the 2.0. I wonder if it's the same for the 3.2 - one would think so. Also wonder if the ride is affected. I guess I'll give them a call.
