Default since the Low Sulfur stuff came out I have noticed performance on my Ford drop

talking to other diesel truck (Ford, Dodge, Chevy) owners, they have all noticed the same thing.

I wonder what's up with that mileage drop? Additives?

I'd guess that engine management software compensates for that on vehicles designed for it.

Default I guess so

But the engine output will most likely (if not definitely) be far more useable than the numbers on paper suggest.

And, with bio-diesel and other manufacturers equivalent of Mercedes' BLUETEC diesel, diesels can most likely (again, if not definitely) be sportier with redlines that are the same as their forced fed petroleum counterparts with the same hp as their force fed petroleum counterparts with no sacrifice (maybe even small or relatively small gains) in fuel economy and cleanliness, even complete removal of sulfur with zero emissions worldwide cannot be ruled out (at least not completely).

Default "Pure bogus"?....

harsh words Slim!

So what happens to that additional 450lbs during moderate to hard braking in corners?

Hint: it doesn't go to the back wheels

Default The engine outputs, under normal conditions go to all four wheels

To be exact, 60% of the engine's output goes to the rear and 40% of the engine's output goes to the front.

If you do the super simple math, 20% more of the engine's output goes to the rear wheels than to the front wheels.

Therefore, your comment about additional under-steer with diesel engines being pure bogus is still valid.

Default We're talking weight shift, not power distribution

Under braking FWD, RWD, AWD is not a factor. Vehicle weight is what you have to fight against.

Default Like I said before, be careful what you say about what we are and. . .

what we aren't getting here in the US. You might have to eat your words on blanket statements like that.

First, and foremost, don't belive anything AoA says today, because it will definitley change tomorrow.
