Default reputable NYC tri-state area dealerships and MSRP discount?

Could any of you new B8 NYC area owners possibly recommend a good dealership to go to? Or at least one that is the least "douche baggiest"? I ask b/c I'm about 95% sure I will be purchasing in the next 4 months and was hoping I could go somewhere with the least amount of douche bag salesmen. Also, what kind of MSRP discounts do you think will be available when December rolls around? I went to a dealership in Long Island, NY (Biener Audi) and a salesman told me at the moment they are only giving out $1k discounts which kind of sucks. I know it's a new model but I was hoping to get a minimum of at least a 3k MSRP discount by the time I'm ready to purchase which would be around Dec/ Jan '09. Is this unreasonable?

$3k seems kinda steep, even if you were thinkin' about a loaded 3.2 Prestige. I got 6% off MSRP ($2,250 off my $38k Prem+) thru the Audi supplier discount program (see Audisupplier.com), plus another $500 off for attending an A4 unvailing event. Even though the market for new cars is currently sucking wind, Audi seems to be one of (if not the only) manufacturer holding steady so far (thanks to the A4 & A5), so dealers may not be that hard-pressed to negotiate, but who knows what the market will be like in a couple months...

I got $1,000 off MSRP and another $500 discount for attending the Audi Driving Experience. That was as good a deal as I could find anywhere within driving distance.

He's right. Depending on the car that might exceed the mark up.

I recently placed an order for 1K over invoice at Classic Audi in Westchester. At the dealership the salesperson was hinting that their discount is "a little bit off MSRP". I didn't bother negotiating, just went home and e-mailed the same salesperson with 1K over invoice offer; it was accepted right away. However, the dealer insisted that Edmunds invoice does not include advertising and some port charges which came to $400 extra.

I heard that you could get $500 over invoice in NYC area if you shop around. I just didn't want to bother.

I see... Didn't realize the markup was going to be so much less that I originally thought, probably should have checked edmunds/kbb first.

Hey Mark,

Just hit 2k miles and am lovin' the car. So if I "plug" INSKIP all over this forum, is it worth a set of exhaust tips/finishers?

Are you still planning on picking up a DSB B8 when they come out w/ the sticks? I'm likin' the exclusivity of the car (I've yet to see another B8 on the road) and color combo right now!

Default Just got a quote for 09 Avant w/ Premium Plus.

stopped by Biener Audi to get a quote for 3yr lease w/ 15K mi. The sales guy offered $700 over invoice w/ OOP ~$1400 and $595 monthly including 7% NJ tax, but said the new finance rates will be out soon.
