Car companies change option packages all the time. Often they do this to keep interest in the car during the product lifecycle. You pay a premium for options when they release a new platform or mid cycle refresh. Each year after, more options become standard/cheaper to maintain sales....

Based on the responses to the opening post, at this point in the thread I would say that we've pretty well dismissed the premise that Audi should "suck it". I've decided to keep mine.
