Particularly on private lot's speed bumps meant for trucks. The 2012 seems an inch higher but also rides better with no wheel shimmy. (2009 suffered many pothole bashes and needed 3 wheel straightenings)

I have seen Euro s-lines with 30mm drops. Not practical in the US northeast.

The 19" s-line wheels look sharp and the summer Contis handle great. Personally I think they are impractical in potholed metro NYC but nice when I head to the country. For winter I bought a 17" Dunlop 3D tire/wheel package from Tire Rack. It rides much better and handling is fine. So far no snow since I mounted them but it is predicted tomorrow and a short ski trip is planned later this week.

The freak early November snow came when the summer tires were on and the trip home was scary. Drove like racing slicks. IMHOP all-seasons are for your father's Oldsmobile.
Ready to retire my 2004 A4 Black, 6spd manual, sport package with 205,000 miles - all mine. Still runs great! Just afraid of unknown repairs to come. Original clutch - few believe it, but it's true, and feels just like day I took delivery Sept. 2003

Anyway, looking at P+, 2013, manual, basic sport, B&O...pretty much cloning my B6.

Questions: Does anyone know how today's sport suspension compares with 2004? I love the response and handling, but at times hate the jarring stiffness. How about sport seats vs standard? My standard seats took forever to break-in...sore *** for months! How about the new fangled electric steering compared to tried & true old school? Finally, did you new 2013 buyers opt for summer 40's or the 45 tires?

Thanks

The B8 Sports package rides very comfortably. Just use the lower tire pressures suggested in the owner's manual and not the ones on the door panel.

I am not sure my 2013 A4 S-line is lower than the standard suspension. It is higher than my 2009 P+ Sports Package. That one could bottom out on an industrial speed bump.

The seats are very comfortable and the thigh bolsters are a good addition. Go for it.

Its definitely worth a buy. I have enjoyed the ride and the handling of the sport package.
