Yes, some people automatically inflate to the pressure shown on the sticker without reading the manual and then complain about a harsh ride.

I never knew that. I will drop down the rear tires a bit. My dog will be grateful. He is my usual rear seat passenger.

Yeah, a lot of folks don't realize that the door label gives MAX LOAD conditions only. It was due to Ford Explorer drivers and lead to FMVSS 110 back about 6 or 7 yrs ago.

If you look at inflation pressure for our brothers in Europe, their numbers are very different...probably in-line with what's shown in our Owner's Manual. Emjoy the ride

Thanks alot for this thread! i checked all my tires yesterday and all 4 were set at 45 psi!

actually no, My rear right dropped down to 15psi and my TPMS did not let me know... anyone know what psi it has to be at before the light goes on?

The tire was down to 15psi? And there was no warning? Maybe your system hasn't been set-up. Also, you probably have a slow leak. You should have that checked.

Was just a victim of this as my 2013 a4 came with 44psi!!! Dropped it to about 33-35 all around ride is much more comfortable cant believe the dealer does this so often of curse my car had literally just ca,e in but from another dealer so that dealer obviously hadn't dropped the pressure
