Cheers... Two ways of looking at it. Enjoy either way!

With the S-line package on my A4, I continue to be amazed by the 19" Dunlop Maxx GTs. The ride exceeds my expectations with the ADS suspension. I cycle to dynamic and comfort mode almost daily depending on the road condition and my driving, but I think the standard auto mode is hard to beat. My wife very seldom uses the comfort mode leaving it in auto most of the time. Another pleasant surprise is the how tough the sidewalls are. I know this seems contradictory, but I have hit several bad potholes with no drama. My VW Corrado with 50 series Pirellis had several tires and rims replaced from pothole incidents.

The sidewall height difference is about 1cm, not 5mm. You do know that the numbers 40 and 35 and not in millimeter, don't you? They represent the tire aspect ratio, meaning sidewall height over tire width. Going by that, the sidewall heights are 98mm versus 89.25mm (approximately).

Sidewalls of 35mm ... that's barely two thumb widths To maintain the overall wheel diameter but have 35mm sidewalls, you would need slightly bigger than 23" tires!

It's funny. B&O was mostly known for selling grossly overpriced equipment that was more suited to be used as funky home decor than for experiencing audiophile music listening. Perhaps times have changed.

Default Whoops!

*I do now! Thanks for the correction!!!*

*OK, so 98 mm - 89.25 mm = 8.75 mm. A sidewall height difference of 8.75 (vs a 5 mm difference) is still pretty small - 0.344488 inches to be exact; just over a third of an inch! That's still a pretty small difference!!!*

I don't think the quality of the system is reflective that anything has or has not changed with B&O as a company.

The bottom line for me is that after driving demos with and without the B&O system, it is a clearly HUGE improvement over the stock stereo. That was the bottom line for me. Being able to get the system fully integrated into the MMI and other functions made it a no brainer over other after market solutions (many of which would most definitey beat the B&O system on sound alone).
