Status of delivery of S-Line cars

I'm one of the lucky ones that ordered a B8 with S-Line. I'm certainly looking forward to delivery, but so far, my dealer is unable to give me an exact date that my order will be released to production. My order went in during the May order sequence, which I understand was the first order sequence for this chassis.
The question is, does anyone have any reliable information about when Audi will be in a position to start producing the S-Line orders that are in the system?
My dealer told me to call him back on September 20/21, and he should know a bit more at that time, but I wanted to get a second opinion.

I noticed that you are getting a high-end Prestige, but why no B&O and Drive Select? Just curious, as if you are spending alot, why not get the car's most unique options. I think the DS is not necessary, but the B&O seems like a great bargain.

I opted to skip ADS because I'm definitely planning to lower it on coilovers and there's no products on the market currently that will work seamlessly with ADS. Also, there's speculation about whether chip tuning will render ADS mapping useless. I didn't want to pay $3k for an option that I might only be able to use 1/3 of.

The factory said they have no timetable for the S-Line I had on order and my salesman said not to expect it before next year. (He said that before I even mentioned getting an A6 instead.) It had a 1st week of July build date, but it has been on indefinite hold.

All of us with standing orders are certainly hoping that your salesman has it wrong, but it's not the first time I've seen an indication that these S-Line cars might not be delivered until next year.
I'll check with my salesman on the 21st, and provide an update to the group when I hear something.

APR has told me that they fully expect their products will work fine with ADS. It should just add an extra dimension of tuning in their software products.

Bottom line, I didn't think it was worthwhile to make a $3k gamble. I want my suspension stiff and throttle mapping aggressive 100% of the time, so why pay for settings I won't use?
