Audi has sold about 30,000 B8 A4s since they went on sale last fall. A small amount of all cars on the road and a small amount when compared to the amount of previous A4s on the road.

Interesting data. Does anyone know where we can find published production figures for the 2009 model year B8 A4? In particular, I'd love to see a breakdown of data showing how many built (in the world, or in North America) were:
  • Avant vs. sedan
  • Tip vs. Manual
  • Quattro vs. Frontrak
  • S-line, Prestige, P+, or P
  • Colors
  • etc.

Since I bought mine in October 08, I've seen three others on the road in all of Sacramento (one of which is on my same street in Roseville). Like someone else said, I've seen as many R8s as I have B8 A4s.

Perhaps it has something to do with Sacramento having one of the highest foreclosure rates in the nation right now. Hmmm...

I've actually expected to see more in orange county...just got my car back from the body shop (out for two weeks) and I probably saw 4-5 B8's during that period...a quick drive into the LA hot spots and I would definitely see twice as many in one day

audi is definitely the coffee bean to bmw's starbucks around these parts

Default I'm still quite ok with it

Really

Theres a BMW dealer in walking distance and the neighborhood is littered enough with B's, Lexus, Infinity's, MB's etc. Mind you they all look great but I'm ok being odd man out on this one.

What are you talking about? There are plenty of B8's among of a sea of Benzes and BMWs in the nicer areas of Oakland County.

I don't live in Oakland County; Detroit is in Wayne County....the land of shiny new CTS's and Escalades...
