Strange vibration/ judder.
Hello everybody.
I have a strange problem. Last week i changed the front cv boot. I removed the the cv joint from the axle. Removed and cleaned all the ***** and everything. Put new grease and installed the new boot. Everything was straight forward. But after that the car had a new strange problem. When driving on the freeway about 70 mph or above. If i hit a bump or something rough on the road. The front left wheel feels like something is loose or hitting it. And can actually hear clunk clunk clunk. Feels like a punctured tyre. But if i slow down again to 50 mph. It goes away again. And this is the only way i can get the problem to show.
Yesterday i installed a new cv joint. Because i was thinking that maybe i installed the ***** in the wrong places. But the problem is still there.
Somebody may have a good idea, to what the problem could be?.
Its not the tyres for sure. Because it doesn't feel like a normal tyre balance problem. And it occurred right after i changed the cv boot. I have tightened the axle bolt to 200 nm + a quart turn. Iam thinking maybe the inner cv joint is damaged after i had to hammer the cv joint off the axle. And i also hammered it when i had to install it back on.
