Default Telephone / MMI malfunction

Have a cell phone that has worked very well with the bluetooth feature in an 09 A4. Phone calls come over the audio system and voice commands can dial from the phone book with ease.

Had new pads and rotors installed last week and now all I get is a "please wait" on the MMI screen when trying to use the phone. Can't imagine there would be any remote connection???

The voice dial function is also malfunctioning but the phone tells me it is connected to the car via Bluetooth. Where do I start?

Are these MMI units notorious for failure? The car has 60,000 easy highway miles (first pad & rotor replacement)

Any insights would be appreciated....

Have you tried to delete and reinstall the phone?

Good suggestion. Just like the cable guys who have multi million dollar systems and they want you to unplug the cable box for 5 minutes to reset.

Works fine now. Thx.

Just curious - which one solved it? The MMI reset or the reload of the bluetooth connection?

Default Bluetooth

The re-matching of the phone with the car seemed to make it function. Did not even try to reset MMI and would not know how.
