+1. Same issue here. Virtually no Sport Pkg cars at this time of year.

I suspect we'll order again when it's time.

I get military pricing so I won't get into that but mine (all military sales are orders) is 14 weeks. If all goes well I'll pick it up on the 8th. Waiting for my deposit to clear.

I am in the same boat thinking of ordering. Has anyone gone through the AmEx or costco car buying program?
Also, do we know when the cut off for MY2011 is and when MY2012 ordering starts?

Just talked to someone at Audi and they said the end of April.
But they dont have the options that will be offered for 2012. What to do?

The typical ordered car -- "sold order" -- as they say, will or can be priced to you at the lowest possible price the dealer can go. Cars that have owners waiting for them cost the dealer less (in floorplanning costs). I assume there are dealers who will try to get every last penny possible for every car they sell and why not -- but at least you now know that an ordered car probably has more room to be discounted. I have ordered virtually every Audi(of 29)that I have ever acquired.

I always feel I get a better price than one that they already have in inventory. Moreover, I can't imagine taking one from inventory unless it was EXACTLY what I wanted. I think that has happened once or twice over the years.

Fear not ordering -- it is the best way to acquire a new car if you want one the way YOU want it and if you want one at the lowest possible price, all things considered.
