For those of you that have been experiencing excessive oil consumption in our cars, how many of you had the problem fixed, and what was done at the dealership?
I took my car in (Audi dealership)today, and the ECU was re flashed, new oil breather and seal.
My car was at stage 2 with APR.-And before it was tuned, the car was already showing signs of oil consumption.
With the re flash my ECU's APR tuning was erased, but my tuners will redo the tuning free of Charge.-Great customer Service from Audi and good backup from APR. A Win WIN.

I had stage one done during Christmas. Seems to be doing better now. Will have to see how it is in the long term- they said no to stage 2 as the stage one fix brought my car into spec....

Failed second part of test. Replaced pistons & rings. No longer uses oil at all. Running APR with no issues. Started using Kendall GT full synthetic and get even better oil milage. Will soon have 30,000 miles since repair. Average 100+ miles a day for work.

did stage 1 last week, and have driven about 800 miles with no oil consumption noticed yet. Previously if i drove 800 miles I would be down about half a quart! Hoping it is fixed and stage 2 will not be needed. Glad I finally took it in (2011 with 34k miles).

My oil consumption was at the rate of about 6k/q when I hit the 5k service. I went with Stasis ECU software at 12k miles and hit the 15k service with an oil consumption of about 5k/q. After that the consumption was about 3.5k/q and after I had poured in 2 quarts, I went in for the stage one of the oil consumption test/fix at 18.3k miles. I didn't want to wait for the next service because of the carbon buildup. I had no drop registered by the oil meter at the time I hit the 25k service. Before that it would take about 450 miles to go one notch down on the oil meter. For these 1700 miles the oil dropped slightly judging by the dipstick - it went from the middle of the "a" letter to the middle of the "x" letter of the "Max" text.
I had the oil and brake fluid changed at 25k last Tuesday. The dealer said that stage 1 helps 90% of the cars.
I hope at this rate I'll go 10k without having to top the oil up.
