I was wondering if the black plastic over the trunk hinges (or swingarms) is supposed to be there or can it be removed. The design is horrible if it is supposed to be there as the plastic clips keep coming out when I open the trunk. Maybe I just got a bad batch??

one of mine were accidentally broken when I tried to close the trunk and it was too full, and it crunched in half...to answer your question the trunk works fine without them but it just looks ugly IMO, so I had it replaced
