Upper Timing Chain cover bolts

Upper Timing Chain cover bolts
Hello,
I'm sure this has been asked numerous times, could find identical problem when I searched so..
Has anybody over tightened their bolts on their upper timing chain cover. Well thanks for me not having a torque wrench, I screwed up and over tightened the top two left side bolts. Now the head of the bolt just spins continually when I try to tighten it.
Can the bolts be removed, or do I need to buy a new upper timing chain cover? Or is there some other easier solution that might work?
ThanksWes

That's what your bolts are fastening to. So if the threads are stripped and the bolts are just free spinning, you're going to have to repair the threads there. I use helicoil to repair two stripped bolts on the PCV. Might work for you there too. Better than replacing the whole head.

Also I have a 100 km drive home. If I cant get it fixed here do u think some gasket sealer will help cover the gap that O now have on the left side of the cover?

I'd be more likely to try a strap wrapped around the whole head pulling the cover in tight before I start putting gasket sealer in there.
