Default The US speedometer appears to be linear, unlike some Euro photos.

The US brochure indicates a linear speedometer and not a European style (non-linear).

Euro pic.

Default same here unless..................

In 2009 I want to be in another audi but my need for a 6MT and a car to modify seems to point to another German car.

Default Re: AUDI IS FORCING ME TO BUY A BMW

It's funny. I have been driving a rental car for the last 8 weeks waiting for the new A4 in September (ordered in April), but with the wheel delay, I actually went and test drove a BMW 335xi last night. Nice acceleration and handling, but hated the interior. Seemed very cheap and non-ergonomic for the price of the car. So even with Audi's f***ed up launch, I will be waiting for what I think is the better car.

Default That would be a plus. What's with the non-linear scale on the Euro version?

As long as they are putting in a U.S. specifc speedo, how about limiting it to a more realistic max level, like 130 mph or whatever the electronic limit is. What's the point of having a 180 mph speedo on a car that can't go any faster than 130?

I understand that they will have to use the same speedo on the S4 or even perhaps the RS 4 (even though the B7 RS 4 had its own unique speedo), but set the limit to the the maximum speed that the highest performing version can do. You get a very useless gauge in the U.S. when only a third of the range is used on public roads.
