Default What brand of coolant?

My coolant is below min and what brand of coolant should I use?
The factory recommend to use 12++ coolant. My local shop showed me something that says for all maker/all model cars. It's yellowish coolant, but my car has pinkish coolant.

What do you guys use for top off?

Thanks

Owners manual....

"Use only anti-freeze additive G12++, an additive meeting the
specification “TL 774 G”. Other additives may give considerably
inferior corrosion protection. The resulting corrosion in the cooling
system can lead to a loss of coolant, causing serious damage to the engine"

Dexcool does NOT meet VW's TL-774 standard.

My suggestion is to stay with what is recommended by the manufacturer.

You'll be in for a big ($$$$$) surprise when you start mixing and matching coolants in these cars.

VW or Audi dealers sometimes sell small topping-off bottles. You can also purchase the stuff (G12++) from NAPA under the Pentosin name plate.

You can also simply top off with water if you're in a bind.

^^ True! But it's suggested to use distilled water. Chemicals added to tap water could cause harm to engine parts/hoses.

G13 is the new standard with Audi vehicles it can be mixed with regular G12 G12+ and G12++

Be sure to check out our full line of engine coolant below!

I've just placed an order from ECSTuning. It should be here tomorrow. Dealer's price is ridiculus.

When did VW/Audi start using the G13 coolant? This is the first I have heard of it. Is it still the same dark purple color as the G12++?
