Xenon Pointing Up
Hello,
My 2013 A4 Avant has some xenon issues.
A few weeks ago, I got an Adaptive Headlight warning. I noticed that the additional lights that switch on when you turn a corner stopped working.
My theory is that a cable inside the headlight unit has snapped, so it really is no issue.
Today, I have a new problem. When I start the car, the following happens.
- Xenons go through their test phase where they move down, side to side and then level off
- They finish up pointing up very high and blind oncoming drivers
I have been Googling and I note that there is a level sensor for the xenons. I believe it is on the front left, and from what I can see, there is no clear damage.
I have had the car scanned and I have the following code
- 02235 Static curve light (left), open circuit, permanent.
Would a faulty level sensor which is still sending out a reading, albeit an incorrect one, even throw up a fault code?
Thanks for any help.
