This thread is great and I have learned a lot here.

Just want to confirm that if I can active the single gear mode(like S4) and needle sweep with OBD11?
If so, I will order it because it should be easier than 5054 or VCDS。

one more thing is people here told me that you can not Enable the single gear in VC if your car over 100km??
anyone can confirm this?

Gear Display in VC:
02/Transmission Control > Adaptation > Auto Gear Selection > Single Gear Display > D on / S on (old value: D off / S off)

is there an option between two gear and single gear once I active the single gear?

What do you mean by two gear and single gear? It’s only a 7 speed tranny. Yes you can activate this and needle sweep via OBD11

You can check the attachments which have a "single gear" and I would like to know if we can also select "single gear" or "two gears" in VC after active this function via OBD11.

Single gear might mean D and S (the default) while two gears might mean D1, D2, D3 and so on. OBD11 should be able to enable this with the coding provided elsewhere in this topic.

coding should be "17dash-adapt[VO]_designvariant_activation variants1 active" >> VCDS

but I dont know if anyone try to implement it in OBD11

I believe he is referring to the single gear as having the speedometer in the center like in the S4. That's why he's calling it the S4 screen. The two gear would be the default screen of having the speedometer on the right and not the center.

The S model layout cannot be enabled on an A model cluster, at least not based on information currently publicly available.
