Would this be great as an App addition to the Audi Connect. Instead of messing around trying to find it on the MMI, you would just pick the color, brightness and location right from your phone. The possibilities could be endless. Maybe the could even program to change when you exceed a specific speed limit?

2016 as in a B8, not a B9? Don't believe those have comparable ambient LED lighting that the B9 does. All of the B9s come with at least the standard ambient lighting. I believe the upgraded ambient light, RGB and additional lights, is an option on the premium plus and standard on prestige. The standard ambient lighting is plenty cool but I wish I would have gotten the upgraded ambient lighting package.

I thought the b9s were 17 and up, oh well. I'd assume the additional lighting means it has the RGB LEDs which can be controlled through the MMI

In America yes. RoW no. 2016 onwards is B9. Because the A4 B9 came out in 2016 (marketed as a 2017 MY car in America).

The only way you can know if your car has ambient lighting is by checking the window sticker (if there are window stickers there - I’m not sure if it’s an America-only thing) or fiddling with the MMI or if there’s a photo of the interior of the car at night and you see a blue/red/any other color light running across the dashboard and centre console sides and door pad. The basic ambient lighting is white and the color can not be changed. I believe that comes in all cars and the advanced one has the color changing option.

Congratulations on your new car!

Sorry to revive an old thread guys, but it seems like it would still be possible to get the RGB lighting to work in an Premium Plus model. I see that the QQ2 module can be purchased on the parts website. So, if you hook up the module and wire it properly then maybe you can enable to option in the MMI with VCDS

Hello everyone, I would like to know the coding to be able to unlock on the MMI PLUS the advanced ambient lighting (color) someone could give me their codes or help me because I would like to make a retrofit of color lighting. I have a luxury French design model. I do not narrate to find people having written the codes on the forum. I have VCDS please help me 😱😱
