Default Adding a Sub and Amplifier to B&O problem

Hello Guys...

I am trying to add a sub and and amplifier to my B&O system but when connecting the high level outputs directly to the high level input to the amp it presents no load to the B&O amplifier so it will not output a signal...

How can I overcome this problem?

Thanks!
JC

I maybe over simplifying this but have you tried adding 2 ohm or 4 ohm resistors between the stock amp and the aftermarket amp?

Did you disconnect the B&O amp from the original speakers when you added the external amp? You may want to tap the high level speaker lines instead.

Sometimes its the simplest of things, but does the amp have a small switch on it that needs to be set between HIGH/LOW level input?

I would first run everything stock and measure the AC voltage on the sub-woofer, and check if your amp is capable of the range on the high level input.

On an alternate route, you could also get a LINE OUT CONVERTER
and just use the RCA input. Its an extra part, but they are pretty cheap.

Thanks for the response guys...

I disconnected from the oem sub high level wires but got no sound (voltage) output from the oem amp, when reconnecting directly to the sub sound restarted...

You need to have sub connected and running to measure the voltage. Its hard with the plug connected. It will not work with sub disconnected.
