Auto Dimming Mirror with Tint

I've been wanting to tint my 2017 P+ for the longest time, but noticed that the auto dimming feature on the mirrors could not be turned off. I am afraid if I tint my car (thinking about 35 front and 20 back), that the tint plus the auto dimming mirrors would make it too dark for me to see out the rear view mirror while driving at night.
Has anyone here have some experience with the auto dimming mirror plus tint (say like 20% in the back)? Any feedback on the rear view visibility for anyone running that set up would much be appreciated!

My 2015 A8 has auto dimming rear view + Audi's stock tints passed the B pillar, I don't know what tint % they are but it's pretty hard to see into the rear with out getting up real close to the glass and cupping your hand around your eye's. and all's fine with dimming + tints as it dimmed last night on the journey home.
If your car has auto dimming driving side mirror as well why not ask for some samples and just stick some to the mirror to test, it would be the same view.
