Forgive me if this has been posted before, I figured I'd share my experience in case others are interested. I've installed android head units in every one of my last 3 cars and it's almost become a necessity for me now. I just really like having google maps/assistant, spotify, youtube, netflix, hbo max, torque (basically anything from the play store) in my cars now, and it especially helps when you have kids. This was purchased on Aliexpress, there are many brands and they all sell essentially identical hardware.
The installation procedure is fairly simple, I'd give it a 5/10 difficulty. Instructions and videos online are good enough to get you through it without issues. Only difficult part I ran into was trying to fit the tiny trim piece that goes directly under the screen that they provide for you. You need to install that before you put the screen into it's bracket. Other than that very straight forward.
Overall it's fantastic to have a larger higher resolution screen there now, they even copied the newer updated Audi interface. The center scroll wheel and steering wheel buttons all even work with it as well. If you don't know, this units Android interface sits on top/parallel with the car's oem interface so it doesn't mess with your original system. No wire splicing or anything like that, fully reversible. You can just switch back and forth between the 2 interfaces with an app icon on the screen.

So to be clear you can switch from the new UI android theme to the OEM menu to go to settings and change the lights or the locks or anything to the car? have u notice any delay or problem by changing from android to the oem menu?

There's no delay or anything like that, the only thing i've noticed is that the oem interface looks a little fuzzy/washed out/more pixelated. I think it could be because the new screen and resolution is so much greater than the oem one, but either way I can still read everything and it's still completely usable.
Shipping took 2 weeks from China.

OMG!
So, I can use a touchscreen interface with my 2017 A4 instead of the dial? That's worth the price alone!
Is it using the newer Audi OEM MMI touch interface, or is it using something else?
Can you please PM me the display you purchased, along with a link to the installation instructions?
Thanks!

Checking on Alibaba, these look like various manufactured Android 12.3" tablets that are customized to the supporting the MMI functionality.
Living in Arizona, I would be wondering how long these would hold up to our typical summer 575 Degree (Rankine) heat.
