My manual trans is difficult to shift into 1st or 2nd if the shifter is pushed to the left all the way. My B5 S4 and Eos are not like this.
today my son and I looked under the hood, and it is clear that the shift shaft is partially going to the reverse (fully in) position on the side of the tranny, whereas it should not go so far for the correct 1/2 shifting.
Is this an adjustable thing? It's like the reverse gate is not correct, or something.
Anyone know it this is adjustable? I paid to download the audi trans manual but there is nothing in group 34 talking about the shifter, even though other sections refer you there!
Thanks!
Dave
