Hello all,

I just bought my new 2018 A4 last month. Recently I started hearing squeaky sound coming from the brakes. But it only happens when I leave the car for a long time (such as overnight), and it goes away after I applied a few brakes. What the issue could be? Should I contact the dealer?

I think there's a TSB about this issue in some 2017s, but I presume the problem (something about the brake pads missing something due to a manufacturer problem) would have been fixed on a 2018.

I had the same brakes squeal issue on my 2018 A4 whenever I first got it. It would squeal when the weather was cold or during a cold start. I had the car for about a month now and it has gone away so far (crosses fingers). All I did to fix it was drive it around normally and gave the wheels a nice clean lol.
