Infotainment system
Part #: 8W0035880F
Component: MU-P-LNS-US
Is the component equal to the variant listed in the metainfo file?

Does anyone know what SupportedTrains means exactly? Does it mean you are supposed to install the updates in that order or does it just mean you can use any of those updates on your mmi?

It's could be either. Sometimes to get to a version, you need to install the intermediate versions because that's the defined upgrade path. But other times, it just means that you can't upgrade. Think of it as Tracks rather than Trains.
Audi has determined a safe upgrade route which is written into the meta file. Some people are so confident that a certain version will work on their hardware, so what they do is update the eeprom of their current hardware with a version number that the normal update process will accept.

Thanks for the replies and information. My current train is not listed as a supported train in the metainfo file. I have minimal access to any sort of scan tool, but Carista says:

But tbh if you don't have a decent scan tool, it tells me that you aren't into messing about. I wouldn't update the firmware then, if I were you.
