I've never had this happen with any of my cars. I bought my used A4 with 12k miles on it. If I come to a quick stop my seat lurches forward and them back. I'm not sure if the gears in the seat are stripping or if the seat is actually loose. I need to take it in and have it looked at.

Take it in and show them that. I had a similar issue with my BMW. Took a couple attempts since the dealership didn't want to admit something was up. Turns out it was an issue with the motorized seat base. Had to wait for it to come from Germany, but fixed the issue.
It was pretty unnerving when you were driving.
