Default '17 S6

This is in the A4 thread but being a new owner of CDN S6 I thought I'd try this as the drop down menu had all the selections from OP instructions. When I reset MMI and go to Setup MMI there is no wifi connection option. Am I out of luck or is there another way? I have no audi connect prompt on main screen. Anybody who's been successful with this on a C7.5 let me know.

Thanks

Yes, would love to know if we could get this readout as well.

Out of curiosity, has anyone ever come across this website?
https://thetechycorner.wordpress.com...-google-earth/

It mentions setting up a router in the car to enable a SIM card like connection. Seems you would need to put data files on an SD card to overwrite information. I am quite weary of doing this especially since this is for the older models of the A4. The concept sounds interesting though. Wondering if something like this could be done for our B9 model?

^^ not sure if the reward outweighs the risks ... I played around w/ the google maps configuration and still can't get the external SIM to work.. at this point, I've given up LOL... I'll just tether my phone for google earth which works fine...

That's true. To be honest I would just like to be able to enable the Audi connect features. I really want Inrix haha

I've performed the steps as mentioned in the OP, but I'm not able to select the hotspot on my mobile phone in the MMI settings. It should be under WLAN correct?

So wait. If you guys do this and then activate hotspot on your phone, you guys can use Google earth? Even without Audi connect?

Here's some info on using an external SIM card (instead of wifi tethering) with a Canadian spec Audi:

Can someone post the exact steps to go to the correct menu option to set wifi tethering in MMI? I cannot seem to find it. Shouldnt be that hard to find, so I think I might still be missing that option.

Very interesting except that I can't find the details concerning what he did exactly.
