This is really weird. Saturday I come home with my kid from his soccer game, i lock it with the key. Next day I cannot find my keys, I was in a hurry so took my wife's car. Yesterday I try my spare key and car doesnt recognise it. Thinking that the keyfob battery is probably dead, i replace it with new batteries, still the car doesnt recognise the spare keyfob. Has anyone experienced this? How do i reset the keyfob or get it to be recognised by the car? Any help is welcome.

I tired this to get the car to start, but it didnt recalibrate the car. I had to use the physical key to lock the car again. Tried once more but still same result.

Started or didn't start?
The key reader is tricky, have to hold the key up a little.
Battery, online video that came up for me puts the battery in backwards. I thought I did it correctly, then came back and I was like it's exactly how that person did it. Then later I realized we were both wrong. I could start the car with teh center console reader but not lock/unlock.
If the key is registered, you should be able to start it with a dead keyfob battery. If not, then there might be a deeper issue. Good time for everyone to check their other key(s)!
