Default Help with wheel offset on 2018 A4

I have a 2018 A4 Prestige and am eyeing some A6 wheels from craigslist for winter use; this model:
https://www.hubcaphaven.com/p/9295/a...0601025ad.html

My current wheels are the A4 prestige wheels:
https://www.hubcaphaven.com/p/24200/...w0601025m.html

I'm pretty sure the A6 wheels will work; the only difference is 1 mm in offset. Can anyone more knowledgeable in wheels confirm this? I plan on using the same 245/40/R18 sized tires.

I have S5 rotor rims on my A4 which is offset 33ET 19x9 and they sit perfectly flush with the car.

Anything below 33ET and you run the risk of the rim popping out.

Im sure when I lower my car I will probably have 1-2mm to play with but with stock suspension 33ET is flush.

Thanks for the replies, sound like I am in good shape with those wheels.

I am also looking at another wheel/tire set (winter set):
17x8 wheels with 45 mm offset (OEM Audi 17" wheels are 17x7.5 with 38 mm offset)
235/45 R17 tires (-1.6% diameter from OEM 245/40/R18).

I think this should work out; can anyone comment? Not sure what the acceptable offset range is for the B9 ,and if 45 is too high.

Would also like to know if 45 offset would work looking at some s3 replica wheels with that offset

The other thing to look for is rotor/caliper clearance. A6 rotors in those years were about 7mm larger in front and same in back, so they should be fine - doubtful a caliper on a newer, smaller car has a larger swept diameter.

17x8 and 40mm replacing 18x8 and 40mm should be OK, as long as there's brake rotor/caliper clearance.

Be careful about comparing just offset with different diameter wheels. Offset is mounting face to wheel center. With a 1/2 wider wheel, the edges of the wheel will extend 1/4" further in and out. That may cause suspension/inner rubbing or extending out beyond the fender. You need to calculate the actual backspacing (mounting face to inner flange) and may need a different offset to counteract that.
