Different models contain different firmware...sadly there is no coding change to accomplish this. Base car, S car and RS car have the VC display with model-specific software than is not interchangeable. Sadly, what seemed simple is not possible.
I thought that there was a restriction that changing the model graphic had to be done before the car had 100km on the odometer, or something like that. Perhaps that doesn't apply to the B9, though.
Can't be done. I wish we can have the sport mode where the gauge is in the middle but it can't be done :/
I know we cannot change the display into middle guage type, I mean it still have two guages on both side, but the background color is different(like carbon look)

To change to RS style dial and speedo - go to 17 Dashboard > Long Coding, and instead of "Start Screen" you should go into "Vehicle Variant" that's where you change the dial appearance. "Derivate 12" is for S4 (slight different from A4 appearance) and "Derivate 13" is RS4 (where the background dial is color grey and number appear to be 3D AFTER you start the engine). Make sure after you change this, power off the car, lock it and wait for 10 seconds or so and un-lock to start the engine to take effect. Hope this helps.
Cheers

Whoah, really?! Ok boys, someone confirm and take pics!
I actually had to wait more than 10 seconds. It was a few minutes after shutting off that the RS4 symbol would appear in the tach. However, the single display RS4 would not come up.
