Many times when I'm driving somewhere, my Navigation wants to send me on what I know is a longer route. Even when I don't follow where it's sending me, it keeps trying to get me to turn down the next street and double back.

How do I get my Nav to choose a detour? I can't seem to find a detour button like I used to have on my old Garmin units.

Or there should be an "avoid route from here" setting in the route menu iirc and it allows you to set the distance to avoid the currently selected route. Set it long enough to possibly select the route you prefer to take. I know it's a bit clunky but best I can offer.
