Instead of trying to explain everything, there's a tutorial video on the audiusa.com website. Login to the myAudi section and select the MMI connect app tab towards the middle of the page. The tutorial takes you through the setup and some of the functions including how to send destinations to the car. If you have an iPhone you can also share locations from other apps using the standard share function in iOS and selecting the MMI connect app as the target. So for example you can look something up in Google Maps on your iPhone and then simply tap share and tap the MMI connect app to send that location directly to the car.
