So, I've got an interesting situation, and I'm in Virginia if that matters.
I totaled my car and got charged with a DWI and refusal recently. It's my first offense of any kind, and I hired a really good lawyer and am going to fight both charges. My court date is in a month. If the refusal sticks, I won't be getting a car because my license will be suspended for a year, with no option for a restricted license. However, I have a strong case for getting the refusal dropped or at least dropped as part of a deal with the prosecution. If this happens, I'll at least get a restricted license with an ignition interlock for 6 months.
I've already locked in lease terms with an Audi dealership to lease a 2017 A4 Premium Plus Quattro w/ Technology package, and they are holding a car for me for 1-2 months.
If I am able to get a restricted license and have to get an ignition interlock installed,
A) Is a standard interlock device compatible with this model Audi?
B) Since it's a leased car, will this cause any problems with the lease, such as voiding the warranty?
Thanks in advance.
