I don't have the label/tag as the previous owner had misplaced it. A previous post on here suggested that if you'd lost it then the code was just the last 7 characters of the VIN number. But as you've confirmed it's a 10 digit number required.

I’ve just bought a 68 plate A5, I like others don’t have the 10 digit code. The car still has 5 months of Audi warranty, would this be covered? I’d rather not pay for a replacement 10 digit code if I can help it

I recently had to obtain the code from a CPO dealer. They did not provide one upon purchase. Asked me to pay 180CDN where I casually gave the finger and said give it to me for free.

if you bought your vehicle from a non-Audi dealer You will need to order it.

ordered from Germany took about two weeks to come to Canada.

Ordered mine from GenuineAudiParts for $47. I think the price increased.

4M0898710LAB is the part number.

I ordered mine for $60 with ECS Tuning, but it's not working, clearly the code is not linked to my VIN. They are giving me a run around by asking me to work with the dealer. My understanding was that the cost included linking the code to VIN. I'm stuck with a useless tag.

Dealer does need to verify that you are the owner of the car to make you the key user. The app should have let you know the steps.

There's been mixed results for some reason for after the fact ordering.

FYI, my OEM one has the last 8 characters of the vin on it on the right side of the tag.

Default Don't have the 10 digit code

Hello, so I bought an rs3 2019. I was trying to connect my car with app myaudi and I couldn't. So I called audi and they told me that I need to have this 10 digit code that comes with the keys when you buy the car. But the old owner who sold me the car didn't give me any codes. Do I really need this code for 2019 models?

Mine was like that.
I've heard that generic replacements work just fine, ymmv, but search more here.
