Trying to narrow down a configuration of a new A4. Have plenty of time...that's probably the problem!!

I experienced something I was not expecting yesterday on a test drive of a 6 speed manual. It was not bad or concerning, just new to me. I could feel the motion/energy of the drive-train thru the stick shift. I just sold back a 2012 Passat TDi with a 6 speed manual and that, like all other stick shifts I've driven, never transmitted any of this 'alive' feeling.

It was really very cool and I do like driving manual, but I must admit I am drawn as well to the S tronic Dual Clutch. Although my long term ownership trends and conservative nature may lean me to the manual option. Unless deals on them are not as good as the more popular S tronic.

So...thoughts on this unique to me feel thru the stick shift??

And, how about thoughts on the 'Sport Plus Package' that is available on Premium Plus with the manual transmission? For me it's either Sport Plus or Tech, if I go manual. Otherwise if S tronic it's premium plus w/ tech and sport.
