No owners manual?

I took possession of a new 2017 A4 yesterday. When I arrived home. I couldn't find the owners manual (just a small and mostly useless quick reference Q&A). I called the dealer who claimed that they no longer provide a printed manual but rather it is available via the MMI.
This seems very odd and if true, extremely disappointing. (And if true, perhaps they should provide a manual to tell people how to access the manual on the MMI. have no idea.)
Is this for real?

I think that in this case, the person really didn't know. It wasn't the Audi dealer per se, but rather someone who works in corporate leasing for the "meta" dealership. They said they called their imports department and this is what they were told.
Well I will have a good look when I get back to my car later today.

Thank you everyone! The manual was there, in the compartment as Dave W suggested.
Interestingly, the folks at audiusa.com thought it would be in the trunk. They even sent me pictures of exactly where in the trunk it would be...

Online flash version. There is no way to download a manual. Registering and clicking on the link in myaudi takes you to the same page I linked. No registration is required to view the online manual.
